Roma vs. Shakhtar

March 11 @ – Shakhtar Donetsk vs. AS Roma (Replay)

I don’t really have a favoured team in this match.  But with all the “crisis” in Italy’s domestic league (loosing one slot in the Champions League) plus the fact that Serie A teams that have survived this far in the Champions League have all lost their 1st leg matches, kinda makes me lean towards Roma in this match.  I do hope the Italians can pull of a win on this one.

Roma: 2
Shakhtar: 3

For the win:
Roma
  • at least 2 goals more than Shakhtar in this match
  • a 4 – 3 score in favor of Roma will advance them to the next round based on away goals
  • Roma should score a lot of away goals in this match in case of a draw in the aggregate score
Shakhtar
  • a draw will qualify them to the next round
  • a 2 – 1 score in favor of Roma (aggregate score will be a tie but they’ll have more away goals)
  • they should prevent Roma from scoring two more goals than them

Stadium: Donbass Arena (Shakhtar’s Home Turf)

Highlighted in yellow means that that team will will proceed to the Quarter finals.  Pink means the aggregate score as well as the number of away goals is a tie, so I dunno if they'll do extra time, shoot out or coin toss...
